I'm a new to Virtual DJ 8 and installed V8 on my MacBook Pro running Yosemite. The problem I'm having is using my Mac's built in sound card as the master and Denon MC2000 for the headphones. Unfortunately it won't allow me to select a different output source for Master to Headphones, can anyone enlighten me please?

I have to ask - why?
Surely the whole idea of having a controller with a built in audio interface is to use it.......for master and for headphones.

Of course however I don't have the equipment to play through the MC2000 at home.

So what are you plugging in to the Mac output in order to hear the music?
The MC2000 outputs are RCA. Whatever you're plugging in to the Mac has presumably got a 3.5mm jack plug on it.
All you need is a cheap adapter cable.

I'm simply trying to change the selection for the output sources. It would appear that once you select the Output = Speaker & Headphone and Card as internal sound card, it is not possible to ensure:
Master = Built in speaker
Headphones = Denon MC2000.
I know it can be done because it was demonstrated to me.

My suggestion would be........don't select "internal sound card".
Your MC2000 has its own audio interface, with enough channels to enable use as both master and headphone outputs.
Simply plug your speakers into the master output RCA sockets on the rear of the MC2000. Use an adapter cable if necessary.
It's never a good idea to use two separate audio interfaces. You could run into all sorts of issues with latency and delays.
