Topic: How to get best audio output from VDJ

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hey guys,

I have a Gemini G4V and when I play live, I have these settings in my Sound Setup:

Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card: Gemini G4V (master), built-in laptop soundcard (headphones)

Also, my Performances tab looks like this:

Anything I can do/any suggestions to make my current setup produce the best output it can? And I've been hearing how VDJ has bad audio output compared to other DJing software but I've never really noticed it myself after using it on/off for a while now. Any studies/research I can read up on either on here or somewhere else in the Web that discusses that subject?

Thanks, guys!

should be ok with these settings ( maybe skin set to fast resizing ).
but not sure why you a using a V7 ( Pro ? ) when you are a V8 Subscriber ???
Soundengine of V8 is much better than V7.....

I second that. Imo, essentially your number one setting adjustment, so to speak, is installing version 8, period.

There should be no need to use your onboard audio interface for headphones.

The G4V has its own audio interface which provides a master channel and a headphone channel.

It's far better to use the one low latency interface than to split the signal and use one low latency and one consumer.

What should the best settings be for VirtualDJ version 8? Can someone put a screenshot up? Thanks in advance

The best settings for you will depend on what your particular equipment setup is.

There are no "best settings" that apply across the board for everyone, as we all have different kit.

Gotcha,

listed below is a copy of a post I put in plug in's; it list my equipment and use. Thanks in advance.

I'm a KJ/DJ and am looking at adding video to my shows. I'm very new to VirtualDJ and was wondering what plugin's I should be looking at to enhance my shows. I play at the same small clubs every week and was looking for suggestions from anyone that would help with my shows.

I don't have any lighting systems and usually one large TV behind me for the crowd to watch the video's and KJ. I do have a Microsoft power slide show that I would like to make into a video instead of running additional programs in the background during the DJ portion of my shows or between breaks in KJ.

Any suggestions on plugin's and tools would be greatly appreciated. I am using a windows laptop, VirtualDJ version 8 (latest release), windows 7 pro, 64 bit system with a GeForce video card. I run all audio through the headphone output jack into a Yamaha 16 channel mixer (I use to do sound for bands) then into a graphics equalizer with a real time analyzer, then into my amp and out to the speakers.

The video output is HDMI into a splitter that I can send to multiply TV's/Monitor's via HDMI or RCA jacks.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

P.S. Because of my war injuries this is a hobby for me and I have a hard time understanding very technical things but I do my best....

As stated above, you should be using the audio interface from the G4V only. I am also confused about you coming out of the headphone jack to your mixer. You have outputs on the rear of this unit, XLR and RCA. These are the outputs you should use to connect to your mixer. You would get optimum sound quality, by using the full potential of this controller.

I'm confused, why would you be using the controller outside of its default setting? Stock it should come set to use the controller for monitor and for output (Headphones Channel 3&4 and Master Channel 1&2).
