Just tonight at he club i dj at, the entire program "lags" and runs choppy. audio is fine but im afraid the problem may leak into the audio, the club system is an older pc that still runs windows xp, but ther have been no problems before, any help is appreciatted

There's not much that can be done for an old machine with old software, but maybe the system is carrying some bloat processes (since I'm guessing it is a single purpose machine)
maybe it isn't (a tuned xp install should have less than 30 processes) , the soundest course of action is to argue the toss with the owner (get wildly technical) because a 2nd hand Win7 spec MB + processor can't cost more than $100 these days.
