Hey forum, lately I've been experiencing an odd problem with my VMS2.1 mixer: deck two will randomly stop and start on its own whilst I'm mixing. This isn't a stuttering problem, because the song registers as stopping and starting again. It's acting as if I keep tapping the platter to stop and start the song. Also, this only happens when both decks are playing through the master output (as in, I could have deck one playing but have the fader set to only deck two without having a problem).
I bought it used from Guitar Center and never had any problems until the last few months. I've never dropped it or gotten it wet and I keep it covered when it's not in use to prevent damage from dust. The only difference I can think of between now and when I bought it is the fact that I had a friend reinstall my sound driver in my laptop (or something like that). Could that be the issue?
Obviously I can't work with it doing this sort of thing. Can anyone give me a hand?
