Topic: setting up software synths, daws to virtual dj

Hey guys,

I have just purchased vdj and I already own studio one which includes some native instrument synths. I use a basic Hercules to mix tracks but are swaying to the touch screen vetsion. I have an akai mpk49 and would like to hook it all up so I can mix tracks,use the knobs on akai for fx and also play software synths in the background.

Is this possible? And does anyone know how?

Possibly, you'd have to rewire studio 1 into V8 as a Rewired slave, (this will let the synth play) as for using dials to alter fX you'd need a split mapping (1/2 for studio1 1/2 for V8) which I'm unsure it would work.
Other ways would be to export the VST's dlls from studio 1 into V8's effects folders they might work and you'd just need to map the akai.
