Just downloaded the new updated 3.0 version of Rekordbox today. Looks like VDJ 8. I also downloaded the Android app. It lets you add POI from your phone and import them back into the software on your laptop later. We need this kind of functionality on VDJ 8. It's great to be able to listen to and analyze new tracks when your away from your computer and set up hot cues and loop points. VDJ 8 POI editor is way better at this than Rekordbox but their is no phone app.
We need a phone app Atomix.

+1 would be great to have iOS and android app for poi an Bpm adjustments on the go.

Yep Rekordbox has really stepped up their game. I think the understanding is that dj's are moving away from bringing their laptops with them to work. Especially in the club scene. Just bring your cell phone and a thumb drive and wirelessly send the tracks to the cdj's. The new CDJ 2000 Nexus is expensive but sweet. Now that it is sort of an industry standard for clubs, I believe that controllers alone that must have a laptop to work will be on their way out. Laptop DJing is on it's way out as well now that tablets and cell phones are just mini computers.
I would really like to see an Android app like the Rekordbox for VDJ8. Doubt it is in the cards though. I see no way to import files like that. Perhaps a plugin could do it.
