Topic: synthesizers with virtual dj 8

I was wondering if it is possible to use some of the different software synthesizers with virtual dj 8. I know you can download the different effects from virtual dj but these seem to be one shot type effects that you have no control over. I want to be able to twist the knobs etc. to get my own effects more like a virtual moog synthesizer, etc. I know if you use abelton, which I do not, then you can use all kinds of plugins for effects. I use a PC by the way.

I had tried some vst synths in vdj7 ...couldnt reroute audio through it properly but kinda worked.there is one software that came with a controller that might work.but I need to get it first..
 
 
with vdj7 you have to play something on a deck where you have the synth opened.the synth then uses that track as an ocillator.kinda wierd.but that was vdj7.
 
I'd hazard a guess that VDJ just isn't "wired" to host VSTi (instrument) plugins.

Remember, VDJ is DJ software - not a DAW. The ability to use VST plugins is there for effect purposes, for audio from the decks to pass through.

VSTi plugins need a MIDI input in order to be played via a keyboard, sequencer etc. and VDJ isn't designed that way.

VDJ can be linked to full blown DAWs via ReWire though, but it has to be the master.
 
I guess we be asking too much lol...
