I can't seem to find this on the forums yet, and I'm still quite new at this DJing thing, so I apologize if this winds up as a duplicate post.
I'm encountering a song where the first beat of a phrase changes constantly. I mean, usually they're eight bars like a normal dance song, but sometimes they throw a curveball, throwing the phrase indicator off track, which is a little bit annoying, IMO. I was thinking that BeatGrid Anchors would reset the phrase indicator, but that isn't the case. Is there a way that I can accomplish this?

Do you mean within a song? that it starts on normal structure, then "throws a curveball" later in song and change? (a few songs can do this, as a "creative" surprise/build element )..
If so a feature for multiple phrases pr song is not added yet, but on the idea list for a future update ;)

Could it not be done with the variable bpm function? (painful I know) (checked, you can but it isn't pretty)
I play a lot of breakcore (which goes all over the place) to keep track I use many hotcues to mark 64's 32's 16's 8's and 4's
So if a track starts 4 beats early from a build up (with a build up usually lasting 128) I mark the start of the build up, then mark at +64, +96 (32 more than 64), +112 (16 more) +120, (you get the Idea) & +124. So I can see what's going on.
if a track does something really unusual (like a 6 & a half beat over or under run, [damn those breakcore producers!]), I write a note in the tracks comments.
I use hotcues as markers on every track, even stuff that doesn't break the phase because it makes life much easier (because I can't remember every track's structure any more)
I suppose you could have 2 buttons so long as it's a standard length over/under run, and that you catch it when it happens.

I've got the solution, use the POI action cues to 'adjust_cbg +1' or how many beats it over or under runs where it over or under runs.

Please note that I described a simplified version of the solution, by adjusting the CBG you may have messed up the phrase counter at the beginning of the track, what you need to do near the very end of the track (when you shouldn't be bothered with the counter) is add another 'adjust_cbg' poi to correct all the changes you have made through the track.
