I had a problem with V8, it wouldn't save effect settings but I also found a Trojan , so I've bitten the bullet and flattened my laptop, (it was about time anyway)
Part of me wants a exclusive windows/VDJ partition, but I'm sure many technically minded persons have been at the exact same point as me,
so I ask
What's the best way to keep VDJ separate from the gremlins? (whatever I 'caught' it wouldn't let VDJ write to the effect ini(s)
I'm not asking for AV tips or the like, just a way to boot my laptop and know VDJ will work regardless how much porn I download on the other partition.
Just think; new laptop how would you put VDJ on it?

as for myself. i only use my DJ laptop for djing. thats it period. as a matter of fact when i got it 1st thing i did was do a clean install of windows 7 & the only im mean (only) software installed is VDJ. i download music from my home pc,transfer to usb flash drive, then transfer to my Laptop. i Never connect to the internet using my laptop.
