Topic: Windows 8

I read that there are no (major) issues using VDJ with Windows 8. Unfortunately that's not the case for me. I'm a new user and want to use VDJ to broadcast on the internet. I'm having troubles with recording and play back songs (the way to check how it sounds while broadcasting on the internet). When I play the recorded song in VDJ it's unlistenable: totally distorted and almost impossible to recognize the song. Playing the song itself in VDJ sounds okay.

I use this configuration in VDJ:
Deck 1 - USB sound drivers
Deck 2 - USB sound drivers
Record Loopback - internal sound configuration

I already tried two external soundcards (Lexicon Alpha and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2) and both cards results in the same problems. So I guess it can't be the sound card. I also tried the configuration on three systems with Windows 8 (2 laptops and one desktop): always the same results. When using an XP desktops everythings works fine. That's why I guess there are conflicts between Windows 8 and VDJ. But then again: I don't read about major problems for lots of people using Windows 8.

Could anybody help in resolving this issue?

There are no issues, the challenge you have is that with vdj free or home edition you can not do what are trying do, you need broadcaster, with out it you can not produce and broadcast.
It is vdjs policy from what I can tell. You need to look at the version comparisons to see what you can and can not do.

EDIT - please don't quote the post directly above yours. Thanks.

I've answered your question in the Dutch forum.

BTW: He's not using the Free Home version, but Basic. That's missing here.

Unfortunately no solution yet.

Please do not post in two different forums.
