Noooo He was a legend. Many of us wouldn't be DJing if not for him.

GODFATHER OF HOUSE... R.I.P

you only have to listen to that track - Tears, to be instantly transported back to those house years , definitive sound, I can't remember a time before House , very very sad news, we should all drop a track into our next set

...bad news :-(

R.I.P.

Well if there is an after-life, the (completely) After party just got a bit more A-List, tbh I didn't much like quite a bit of his stuff, (but there were some gems) but you have to respect an originator.

If not for people like Frankie Knuckles I would not even be a DJ these are the guys that made djing look cool to me. Back in 1984 is when I picked up my first record 1 year after the original warehouse closes its doors. I was only 14 at the time. But I knew then what I wanted to be. I was not old enough to get into the original warehouse. But I did make it to the party with Ron Hardy at the music box I was able to check out Frankie at places like the playground and the powerhouse other great club here in Chicago Frankie Knuckles will be truly missed. If not for people like him house music would not be what it is today. Frankie Knuckles I was born in New York but became a legend in Chicago.

Thanks Frankie

R.I.P. you will be missed!
