Topic: mixtrack 2 and soundcard

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hi people my birthday is coming up and ive been into DJing for awhile and im looking to buy a new controller. Nothing fancy or too expensive then I saw the mixtrack 2 and the pro 2 and.im not spending the extra 100$ so im gonna go with the mixtrack 2 not the pro. Then I saw that you can't just plug in my headphones and go at it because the regular one doesn't have the Jack. So I need to buy a soundcard. I'm not a huge dj so I'm not looking to drop alot of money so what soundcard should I buy? I have a Mac and the speakers I use are computer speakers with a subwoofer it's a regular 3.5mm headphone jack(the regular/normal kind). So the soundcard would have to fit that. My headphones on the other end I have a converter so idk if that helps. I just need a cheap good soundcard that will work for me. If you have any other suggestions about any dj controllers that are better than the mixtrack 2 for or around the same price please let me know also thank you for the help

I'd suggest, bring back the mixtrack 2, save a little bit more money and buy the mixtrack pro 2.
It won't be any cheaper if you have to buy an extra soundcard that can handle the sound and latencys of a dj software.
They start at around $100 too.

Or have a look the hercules RMX (1). Good controller and comes with a VDJ LE version.
Negativ: VDJ LE version is an old 5.x version but still perfect for the controller. Just a bit out-fashioned.

So my limit basically is 150$ I was thinking about the Vestax Typhoon but I like the mix track 2. I wish I could get the pro it would make everything easier but its too expensive. I have the hercules DJ air and that is good but I want something more advanced I guess. Im not the best DJ and I don't plan to start looking for gigs but I have done some college parties and I just want something that is good. I want the best controller for the least amount of money and I know thats cheap of me and if you want to be good you have to put out the money but I don't have the money.

Dont get me wrong, but djing is a expensive hobby.
In that case I would suggest to buy a better/ good soundcard and stay with the air.
No controller in the range of $150 could give you any improvements.
As I said above, don't just rush for a new controller. If this hobby is good for you, save some money and then buy a new better controller. You won't regret.

Don't know if you say that in English language too, but in German we say: buy cheap, buy twice.

I agree with Pach. Save and get something better. If memory serves, the Mixtrack Pro 2 only comes with Serato Intro. Before I got my current controller, I considered the Mixtrack. I looked around, and I found the Numark Dj I/O. The prices go somewhere from $70-$90 ish. If you're going to buy anything, I'd suggest you look for the Mixtrack Pro. Not the Mixtrack Pro II, the Mixtrack Pro. I've seen it bundled with VDJ LE. And because the Mixtrack II and Mixtrack Pro II have come out, this means that the older versions are cheaper.
