I'm using a portable hard drive for my virtual dj. i took the portable hard drive out and when i plugged it back in today all the songs in my playlist and history are yellow and when loading says error. please help me fix this. any suggestions i would appreciate

Try putting the usb back into the original port that you used, could be as simple as that.
Remember you got to keep to the same usb port, same goes with controllers.

I had that problem a few times with portable harddrives it deals with the way windows assigns drive letters. If you go to your virtual dj master playlist and look at the playlist address you will most likely find that the last time your hard drive was used it has a different drive letter than it does now. The easy way to fix it is to assign a permanent drive letter to your hard drive.

Just make sure windows assigns the correct drive letter... it should always be the same one to avoid this "error" message.

interesting, I heard of this before but did not know about the permanent drive solution. I'll look into this and make this tweek as I am running a mac as back up with an ext hd.
