I have seen a speaker pole that has a mechanism that prevents the speaker from wobbling.
I "think" it was posted somewhere in the forum but I can't find it.
The pole had something on the top that when a speaker was set on it, would make stabilizers come out to secure the speaker so it can't wobble.
Anyone know what speaker pole i'm talking about?

You need some Aluminium tube, roughly about 37mm in diameter. Get an engineer to turn it for you on a lathe, get him to put a 1 degree pitch on it, the narrower end at the end lol. Turn to the length of your top hat, you should end up with a nice 2mm recess. Oh and make sure you have a nice thick wall, mine is about 4mm, this stopes the poles from cutting into the top hats when heavy speakers are in use.

PS, you know all bought poles are crap. All made in China with loads a slap, i.e. movement.
Heat shrink is to stop them chattering in transit and so that when I carry them in winter I don't have to wear gloves :)

Extremely good product line.
The only issue I have with their product is it does not allow me to use my Intimidatior Spot Duo.
The pole i saw in the past had something on top that when a speaker came down on it, would activate the anti wobble mechanism. The weight of the speaker triggered it.
With that, I could still use my lights on the speaker pole.

I seen these stands in the store and the wedge type adaptor looked great
I asked if you could get this adaptor on the speaker poles, and was told no, but I want to ask Hercules themselfs
