Do any video DJ's have this setup where you can affix a mount/bracket at the back of the Tv which is then mounted on a tripod stand? I have seen some on eBay however the weight rating is very low, I am thinking of mounting SamSung 46" LED which weighs approximately 30lbs on the stand.
Any suggestions for a finished product or a DIY kit?

I have a 46\\\" LCD Screen and it mounts fine , just make sure you buy the global eye clamps, not the plastic o clamps

Any lighting tripod with a top T-bar. Mount 2 c-clamps to the wall bracket, and hang on the T-bar. Mount TV brackets to TV. Place on the wall bracket. I keep the C-clamps on the wall bracket, because sometimes I use two TVs, and place on my truss. The holes on the bracket may be too small, but a bigger drill bit fixed that. I have used the plastic clamps with no problems, but whatever works for you.

I'd make sure the tripod cannot be knocked while the TV is hanging on it. A truss bar supported by 2 tripods (like a goal post stand is better recommended)

I use these, but you can use any clamp you want. Most TVs, weigh less than 40 lbs. I don't own anything that I can't lift by myself.
