Topic: What happened to fire text?

Before I go on, I did do a search to see if this was brought up before and found nothing. So what happened to the video effect fire text? I had it down loaded and it use to work but now it doesn't even show anything in the effects anymore. I tried removing it and re-downloading it again but nothing. I really did like that feature. Am I the only one with this issue?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Nothing at all wrong with it, we are still giving the plugin away completely free to VDJ pro users with an in built 1000 sms user capability, ideal for those one off nights you want text on screen and once you reach your limit just delete stored phone numbers and start again on a new night... brilliant.

Don't forget all the other functions are still available.

Make sure you have the latest update from the plugin section or our main site.

Make sure your dx9 is current.
 
Hi Tayla, I was hoping you were on :). What sight do I have to go to got the updated plug in?
 
Also I have Direct X 11 installed
 
 
Here is what I did, I removed it from my computer & did a fresh install. When I go to VDJ, I select effects & then video effect. Before in the video effects tab with fire text selected, in the center I believe it had an activate button and to the right you could type your text to show on the screen. You could also make changes like font size, font style, color and speed. All of that is now gone. I see nothing in the center or on the right any more.

Has the interface changed? I am running Windows 8 so it will not let me down load DX9 but I also had this issue on my Windows 7 laptop as well. A buddy of mine with a different lap top also has the same issue. We both had this installed and working but for some reason it has stopped.

You need DX9 installed, all plugins on VDJ require it to run smoothly.

I downloaded the plugin but I don't se where the built in 1000 sms user capability is? Am I missing something or more software to do the text to screen is needed. On the fire text website it offers a 14 day trial but the way you have explained it above doesn't suggest only 14 day trial where do I download whatever is missing?
 
All the information you need is in the thread, it does say you have to contact me to verify your status here on the forums, you got to follow the instructions, so here is a little bit of what it says...

It's a pity we couldn't have a sticky for this offer in the plugin forums because this get's lost after a couple of pages and with nearly a 100,000.00 looks it soon disappears.

Thank you for the info. I did read the posts last year but forgot what to do and now with all the posts it doesn't make for an easy read. Yes, your right there should be an instruction sticky either here or even on the fire text website for VDJ consumers. Maybe VDJ will sell even more of their software if they promoted easy installation instructions on either of both websites. Vise versa for Fire Text. In many cases they work hand in hand.

The offer for the free Firetext plugin pertains to only VDJ users and as such this is why we have clear instructions here on the forums as to how VDJ users can take advantage of the offer. It is not available on the main site that is why it is not advertised there.

Making it only available here drastically cuts down on the workload I have to do verifying each application/license that has to be submitted. Once again, follow the instructions and lifes a doddle! especially for me.

Installation is covered as well, links to easy to follow tutorials for the software are well placed on Firetexts main site.

Hey mate, Happy New Year to you as well, North American users are eligible for the free plugin as well, but in the past have been looked after by one of those offices, I've looked after the remainder of VDJ users here on the forums. Obviously when I can, I've been able to offer assistance to NA users.

Check on the Firetext thread for possible changes to all things Firetext. Sorry Bruce, can't give you anymore than that at this time.
