由于该帖子的部分内容已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hey guys, been busy on this years NYE countdown and here's a little snippet of whats to come... The video will run exactly from five minutes to midnight to a little over three minutes past the hour, giving you a little free time to relax and see the new year in.

It will have a five minute countdown clock probably in the top right hand corner that will run in sequence to the clock face that moves in real time. With a large FX's number sequence for the final ten seconds.

I'm also as usual working on a countdown for the US but this year I'll be moving away from the regular Times Square format, I'm also hoping to have something for the guys in France this year.

I doubt I'll not be putting these files up on Visual Shed (still to be decided), so the countdowns will be exclusively only available on VDJ forums by request only.

These will be probably my last countdown videos I'll be contributing to the forums so will be made to use year after year.

Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year to you and your families.

Paul.

Don't worry the DJ Tayla tag will not be in the finished video.

I'll be adding sound track later.

(Edit: Youtube doesn't do the video quality any justice. The original is in HD format.

Merry Christmas to you Paul!!!

Cheers Dan.

Trying to think of a way to say thank you, but was taking too much time, so I just started typing. I like you Paul. You are a man, and the respect I show you comes easy, because you deserve it. If I was still drinking, we would be in a pub getting crunked up. I don't understand some of that "crazy English" you use, but know exactly what you are saying. You are a giver, and have contributed so much to this forum. I can't speak for everyone, but most of us appreciate the time, talent, and knowledge that you bring all year long. Your end of the year plugins, are just the cherry on top. Thank you, and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family.

nice nice :)

Agreed, we'll said! Thank you Paul! Very glad to have gotten the chance to know you this year and I appreciate all that you do for us here and on the Visualshed.

Looks / Sounds like a great idea...

many thanks paul, and "In the words of the Yanks"... happy Haalidays .. ;-)

@Rick, bloody hell mate you got me filling up, ([Rick translation] tears to the eyes) that means a lot to me, got a whole lot of respect for you as well mate.

Anyways, no one get maudlin here, long story short, the operation I was supposed to have recently to make me a little better was cancelled, the fella that hits you with a hammer and knocks you out (I've got the US medical insurance plan) checked me over went away came back with the surgeon and both of them decided to make me better I had to get better before they could operate to make me better... Doh! go figure.

To be honest I hope them buggers have got it wrong... otherwise I'm screwed, lol.

Back to the anyways, if anyone has got any ideas or suggestions to what they want in a countdown vid let me know as quick as you can so I can try and work out how to include it or amend the video.

If you want your name tag on the clip, again, let me know, more time I've got to make amendments the better.

And don't you know it's Christmas when the snow starts falling on the forums... love it, nice one Norway.

Cheers guys

Paul, that hammer to the head, is a barbaric practice, and we gave that up in the 50's. We drink Bourbon and bite down on a stick now, which is much safer.

Damn, looks like I got turned over by that medical insurance guy... I think I might try this new fangled method, thing is, you still end up with a sore head in the morning one way or the other.

Nice work matey. Good to see you're still doing what you're good at ;)

Merry Christmas Paul.

[rubs eyes]

Blimey. It's JimmyB!!!!!

Merry Christmas buddy!! Long time!!!

Yeah Jimmy, good to see you around!

and ....... nice countdown Paul :)

Keith

Wey Hey, it's my pal Jimmy, if he wasn't from Nottingham I'd say he was a half decent guy, but he is, so I'll not... Merry Christmas matey.

As promised I've made a start on a US version and as I suggested I'd put a slant on my old Times Square theme, so this year I'd thought I'd go with famous land marks of New York.

I've used the 5TH Avenue clock to hold one of the countdown clocks (notice anything familiar with it, lol) and if it looks right I'll place a led five minute countdown on the Times Square image.

Still a lot of cleaning up some of the images and making transparency's but it's getting there.

What I need help with from the US guys or anybody else should I go with the set up in the first image or the second, the sooner I can gauge the preference I'll crack on and finish this as well.

Thanks for all the positive feed back so far, much appreciated.

Oh bugger, sorry guys, I totally forgot to point out to the new people on the forums that if you want to use either of these New Year Countdowns, just like other years, they are totally FREE to users of VDJ... me dumb.

Well done Tayla, Both of these are looking great...

Agree with comments above the work and time you give all the VDJ
community is second to none and personally from me you have
been a massive help and friend over the last couple of years and
would like to wish you and your family a Happy Christmas and
Prosperous New Year

Keep up the good work Paul, I'll catch up with you soon

Starting to make some headway on Times Square, but not quite finished yet. Still looking for comments or suggestions from anyone though.

Cheers Tommy, much appreciated, all the best to you and yours as well.

Hey Paul,
I think you have said that already actually. Unless I just read it in another topic but anyway, I like the video you posted of the first example. I'm not from New York or the US for that mater but I like seeing the extra buildings there. Just my opinon.

Merry Christmas

Cheers, Yep, Rick kindly added that to the post header for me after I made the above post, so everything is good. Actually I'm still undecided, but what I have realised I think I will be adding a couple of more landmarks for the UK as well.

If I can get the time (not promising) but if you like I'll attempt a Canadian one if you like, to make it easier for me if you have any landmark clocks across there give me a link and I'll see what I can do.
