How do MP3 Pools work? My assumption is that if I pay the monthly fee, I can download as many songs as I want within the month. Here comes the question: If I were to download songs, will I be able to play them outside of the month?

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Not 100% but I'm pretty sure once you buy the song on said pool you own it. You can play it when ever you want like iTunes.

Once you download a song its yours forever.

A few limits pools have, and this varies from pool to pool so read the fine print.

1) Most pools, you can only download the same tracks 3 times. This prevents sharing of passwords.
2) Some pools limit you in the amount of downloads per month. Some video pools I belong to, that number is 200. I could never sort through and listen to 200 tracks in a month. I typically download maybe 20-30 tracks a month. So this is a non event for me. But if you are trying to build up a library, this may be annoying to you.
3) Most pools will only keep a rolling 1-3yrs worth of tracks. With the exception of ones that have 80's/90's tracks that they just keep forever. Some that I have come across are very limited in those.
