1) Have you tried out Ableton or Serato? ( can you give your input on it)

2) Reason seems versatile but complicated, FL studio seems simple, but not versatile, should I start out with FL Studio, and then go to Reason?

3) I have a casio keyboard, what's the name of the chord I connect to the computer to help me make beats?

you should start by upgrading to virtual dj pro,so things will work correctly...then on the search engine above put the topic you need answers for.you will see that we have touched that a few times...good luck!

You have already asked the same question here a few days ago in this thread and were given a selection of answers.

There's no need to ask a second time.

The cord (not chord) required for your Casio keyboard will depend on exactly what keyboard it is. Please provide the model name/number.

Start with FL studio yes. Its easier to learn.
Alternatively Ableton. Reason is very powerful, but also very hard to learn

Chord from keyboard to pc? I guess you mean cord, and not usb cord, so it has to be a MIDI connection.
Google "midi to usb" cords. And check your casio manual if it has support for midi to pc to control software.

Rune, cord and chord have different meanings.

A chord is a group of musical notes. A cord can be a cable/lead or a rope/thread.

Yeah i know ;) but i think he misspelled .. .that he really means cord .. as he says "connect to the computer" ;)

...correct...

Currently I use FL Studio and I'll most likely never change unless I want to also use Logic Pro. FL Studio is amazing, great price, unlimited lifetime free upgrades, FL 12 (in a year or two) will have a new beautiful GUI, lots to do with live, many pros use it (deadmau5, Madeon, and much more). Also, most professionals used it once in their life (Nicky Romero used it). I tried the demo for Reason. It wouldn't be my first choice... Or second... Or third... In my opinion, it's outdated and messy compared to FL, Logic, and Ableton. Overall however, it doesn't matter what software you use, whatever fits you best!

Reason Outdated?!?! Thats laughable, FL sounds no where near as good as Reason or any others. Theres a reason why many have used FL's then moved on, but yeah we use what suites us......

I have a casio ctk-720

LOGIC PRO 9 and VDJ 7.4 Pro MAC works like a dream once you know how to turn off your DJ device (i.e NS7, mix track Pro, CDJ's , midi devices) within your DAW, so you wont be trying to scratch and hitting a drum sample or playing a note . I may have to upload my settings also need a virtual audio loop (i.e. sound flower) ... I use FL for snare rolls and that plugin that does all the stuttering (can't remember the name). Never tried Reasons, or Cubase. But because virtual dj can be outputted to multiple sound cards its kinda easy to ReWire with your favorite DAW(i.e. Logic Pro) .... This also works with Logic Pro X and VDJ 8
