Actually it doesnt seem like he was touching that mixer. Looks like he was using a different controller type thing right underneath.

You don't understand this video. The cameraman wanted to show how a dj can mix without power cable, and for laughts, he zooms on the plug!

OK so the mixer on the left clearly wasn't being used.......but there was a mixer on the right that was plugged in.

There was also a tiny laptop (I guess) in the centre and, as people have pointed out, a small controller sitting in front of the unplugged mixer.

The idiot is the guy who filmed it (and those who believe him) not the DJ!
 


You're right... looking at it again, there seems to be is a little mixer/controller behind the white unplugged one, thats hidden from view.

So I guess the dj might be actually mixing after all, just the camera man making fun with a selective view angle ;)
 
Now that I see the video again, I do notice a cable going from the laptop to another controller in front of the unit that shows on the video as being unplugged.
 
yeah, think its just the camera angle that makes it look funny ;) Probably intended to be as well ;)
 
Well...why the hell did he have that mixer in the first place? Seems like it was all done on purpose to get some youtube and facebook publicity. Why? I don't know but it's working for them.
 


lol true ;) definitively a good PR stunt - if that was the case, its gone viral.
But maybe not so much for the DJ himself - kinda makes him look a bit like he doesnt know what he is doing this video.
 
Camera guy might have been a disgruntled dj who lost the gig to him, and trying shine a bad light on this guy....you never know.
 
why have a mixer up there in the firstplace just takes up space think there might be a controller behind it and a 7 inch netbook ?? would have liked to see an angle from over his shoulder can anyone say "I can do that for 50.00" dj
 
ummm... who cares if the kid has another controller behind it or not...

THIS IS WHY YOU GUYS ARE COMPLAINING THAT YOU DONT MAKE AS MUCH MONEY AS YOU USED TO! This video has over a million views, and people are watching this, they think this is what you do, therefore you dont deserve $800 a gig... and you thought the sync button was bad for business...
 
I get that some of you think he "may" have been using another "hidden" device but...

He's turning knobs and there is NO CHANGE to the music.
