For creating my own music does anyone have any suggestions? I was looking to spend around 100 tops so if anyone has any suggestions for the best software for creating house and electronic music please let me know

Don't think that you will get something professional for that budget.

You should use a Software like:

Ableton Live
Cubase
Logic Audio
...

Sorry but I disagree. For $100 you can get FL Studio Fruity Edition. It's not the best edition of FL Studio but it's something. FL Studio is one of the most popular music production softwares out there. Along with Logic Pro, Reason, Pro Tools, Ableton, Cakewalk, etc... But if you're really serious about music production (like me), I'd save up until you have $200 to buy FL Studio Producer Edition. In Producer Edition, you can make these things called "automation clips". Here's what they do: So say you made an amazing melody like the hit Hardwell song, 'Cobra', and you want to make the cutoff rise so that it starts out like a small pluck, and ends up as a room-shaking lead. What you would do (depending on the VST) is turn the cutoff knob > Tools > Last Tweaked > Create Automation Clip. From there, an automation clip will suddenly appear. Then, drag the left point down, and the right point up (it's hard to explain in typing), and there you go! I've been producing for a while Krusy so if you have any questions ask me!
 
 
No offence Zibs, but Fruity Loops isn't really taken that seriously as a DAW by professionals.

The big boys are Steinberg Cubase, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Logic etc.

Fruity Loops has the reputation of being used by young lads in their bedroom who've downloaded a cracked copy, and are attempting to make hardcore speed gabba or dirty dubstep with an illegal copy of Massive. :-)

As a long term DAW user (since the 80s) I'd suggest using Ableton Live.

You can download and use a FULL copy of Suite (with all the instruments) for 30 days to try it out. Then if you like it, the easiest way in is to buy some hardware that includes an LE version and upgrade from there (much like Atomix do with VDJ).

For example if you buy a Novation Launchpad, it comes with Live (Launchpad Edition) which has a few limitations but is still fully functional and will get you started.
 
Yeah that's true. The reputation is not good. However, many top of the line producers use it actually. Porter Robinson, Avicii, Skream, Afrojack, and a lot more people. Actually, Porter Robinson even uses 3xOsc. If I were you Krusy, I'd go with either FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic Pro. I went with FL Studio for a beginner and I'm trying to switch to Logic Pro but it's a lot harder than you think. Good luck! Also do you use Sonar?
 
I do, I use Sonar X2 Producer for recording and mastering, but creating loops is a bit complicated which is why I use Magix for making beats/ instros. Sonar really shines though in recording and processing, been using Sonar since version 8;^]

Lol, if you replace Fruity Loops with VDJ; and Steinberg, Pro Tools...etc., with Serato/Traktor........it sounds like a familiar argument/discussion....

I didn't say "Fruity Loops is a toy" or "if you use Fruity Loops you're not a real producer" so it's not the same at all!

I really wish you could like comments on this forum.
 
I think the point is that you mostly use loops in FL so if you want to create all by your own i do not know if you can do this in the Soft.

Actually I've created around 20 songs and I've never used one loop. I think the name's mostly just a play on words.
