Topic: Cue Points, Memory loss after uninstall/install

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Folks, everytime i updgrade, or uninstall and install my software, on the same computer, i tend to loose my cue points that i have created in the past. Some songs do not come through in the search engine when i type them in.... what causes this and how can i get it back to doing what it used to do. I have also restored the system to a previous point before the uninstall/install operation.

This information is stored in the program's database and should be retained automatically when upgrading.

Make sure that you install a new version over the top of the old. There's no need to uninstall it first. If you do uninstall at any point, make sure that you answer no to the prompt asking whether you wish to delete your settings and database.

Make sure that your database is not corrupted: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/I%20get%20an%20error%20message%20saying%20that%20my%20database%20is%20corrupted.html

IMPORTANT: Make sure that you backup your database on a regular basis if the information contained in it is important to you: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/How%20do%20I%20backup%20my%20VirtualDJ%20database%20and%20settings.html
