Topic: Using a xenyx502 Mixer with Virtual Dj

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hello All! First off I am a newbie, so bear with me.

I do some on-line broadcasting and I also go to Broadcasting School. For School I use different software but for On-Line Dj'ing I use Virtual Dj Basic.

I have to use a mixer with School and it is a Xenyx502 Mixer. What happens is when I am using Vdj and I press the mic button I get an real bad eco. If I turn down the 2/3 knob on the mixer it goes away but I have to do that everytime I go on mic. The output of my sound and the input of my mic runs through the mixer.

If any of this makes any sense, is there a way to set it up not to eco .. I have been beating my head against the wall trying to set this up.

On my software I use for School it does not have a mic button it is just set up to talk at anytime with no eco. Not sure what I am doing wrong .

Please help

Thank you

The most likely reason you're hearing an echo (not eco) is that your computer sound card has a high latency. In other words, it takes time for the sound to pass through it.

This is because it's not a pro audio card designed for things such as DJing. It's just a cheap and nasty consumer sound card.

To get rid of latency you'll need to use an audio interface that supports ASIO and has an ASIO driver. I'm assuming you use a PC not a Mac.

N.B. Do not be fooled into thinking that using ASIO4ALL will give magically turn your consumer sound card into a high performance ASIO card. It won't!

Well I was able to change the output settings in VDJ to Booth that helped with the mic and the eco but not with the music. If I have the mic button on and start playing music there is still an eco. Not sure if what I am trying to (By using the Mixer) is even the right thing to do. Been messing with it all day and I am about to give up
