Hello,
So I used to use a pair of small computer speakers. Now I moved to a bigger house where have enough space to plug both my main tops(dont own subs yet). Would you guys suggest using? Wondering how long my 15s would last?
What would you do would you use you're main speakers just to practice at home?

I wouldn't use PA speakers for monitoring at home.
The tweeters used by PA speakers are completely different to what you'd get on studio monitors or hifi speakers.
You'll get a harsh top end sound from PA cabs, but a nice smooth soft sound from hifi or monitor speakers.
Get yourself some KRK Rokits!

If you are practicing at home, Any pair of speakers will do. Studio monitors, Home theatre speakers, DJ speakers, etc.. It doesn't matter because all you are doing is just practicing your blends and making mixes. You are not producing music in a studio. I use two stageworks Powered 6 inch speakers and 1 Jbl 10 inch home theatre powered sub. Years Ago, I use to use Bose 301 speakers with a receiver, Boss portable powered guitar speaker, Gemsound Speakers, Fisher Home stereo speakers, JBL control speakers etc. It didn't make a difference for me. I was able to monitor my music so I can make some nice tapes.

Practicing on studio monitors is the best in my opinion. If you can't hear a flaw in your mix on the studio's, then you'll never hear it on a PA system. Studio monitors are made to be extremely accurate and neutral. They'll show every flaw in a track or mix. Sometimes a mix that sounds awesome in the club will sound like crap on studio's. I feel like my Yamaha HS80M's have really help me tighten up my mixes.

I have these cheapo speaker system that actually sounds amazing. Got em all at parts express. For a small bedroom where I have my "studio" this is plenty.
The Mini Amp. Great for a small room

Same thing goes for your headphones when mixing at gigs. Thats why pro dj headphones are so expensive. That being said I use the Denon dnhp1000's. Their a lil more bassy then they should be, but extra loud and comfortable. Cant stand the pioneers because their too tinny and they choke me when I where them around my neck.
