Free!!! I did a gig this weekend where an acquaintance(veteran dj with cd only), yes not even a close friend! Came up to take a look at my rmx/VDJ Pro setup and was blown away by what I was using. He asked bunch of questions, said he wanted the same setup. Wants to by an RMX and he literally asked me to give him a free copy of my Pro version!!! I told him no I wont do that for anybody!!

I can understnd you being upset, but you should tell him that he does get a limited, but very capable version of the software for free when he buys an RMX. That version will probably do everything a CD Jock will need, at least initially. Then he can determine if the other features are worth paying for.

Don't get me wrong I was trying to help him out in good spirit. I was saying what I could for him to buy. I answered his questions, explained his options and I told him how I came around to using software. That's what's upsetting he just doesn't want to pay for the upgrade.

Totally understand. Weird too, because in my experience, people who are slow to upgrade (i.e., using CD's to DJ in 2013) are the ones who know and appreciate the value of things.

I had someone do the same to me too. Then asked to copy some of my Music? Really. I showed him the picture of the Room full of CD's that we used to have, about 4000 discs. You should try ripping some of those...
