A LAUGH FOR YA:
After loading the van at the Legion tonight and changing the sign outside, I came in to put away some extra letters into the file folders.
Lisa was shutting down the bar, I waved goodbye but turned and said I'm going to use the mens room for a well deserved pee. About half way done the lights go out.
So I'm in the dark. I thought Lisa had turned off the breakers in the back and would be coming out the front door. What happend was she had turned off the switch inside the men's room and walked out locking the outside door.
I finished up in the dark and walked out the first door which shut and locked behind me. I pushed the outside door and uuh ohh it's locked.
I turned around and the inside door is locked too. My card swipe isn't working. And banging on the door isn't getting any response. Lisa had left and I'm LOCKED between the 2 doors. I'm trapped.
I am having visions that I would be sleeping on a hard wooden bench until the morning crew comes in around 9am. That's 6 hours away.
Thank goodness I had my phone. I thought I had Lisa's number but NOT. But I did have Manager Terry's. I called and he didn't answer but I left a message.
To my relief he called back and said he or Lisa would be coming to let me out. To kill the time I re-organized the cork board that had a bunch of business cards and flyers.
Terry showed up and let me out. I was stuck about 30 minutes. But the bulletin board looks great.

So... if their is a holocaust or you fall in a manhole with your laptop you can allways take time and clean up your desktop? ;-p

I hate that end of the night "gotta piss" dilemma..... and often the bathrooms are trashed by then. Good thing theres no alarm!

I have "DJ Bladder" - I can go a whole night without the need to go. Staying sober helps though ;-)

I plan ahead...
On the day before, I make sure I don't eat in the evening, so I won't need a "number two" the next night - then on the day of the gig I will moderate my fluid intake, so that I'm "running on fumes" while I'm out in the evening.
Once at the gig, soft drinks only & and as little as possible.
I do have emergency facilities in the van though, if I get caught short at any time (plastic milk bottle)!
