Topic: Adding Silence to Automix

Hey everyone, I was wondering if there is a way to add a pause in automix. Some of my songs doesn't have any silence before the or after the song. So once the song the next song comes straight in and dosen't sound right. So I would like to add 10 sec's of silence after all songs if its possible.

P.S I don't use automix for sets just when sitting around listening to music

I'm Only coming up with:

create a 10sec silence mp3 file and add it in between each songs.

Most songs have a silent intro or outtro. If not, why don't you create one?

Hi Everyone,
I recognise that this thread is old, I'm hoping there will be some work around available now.

I mix tango music, sometimes with dubstep songs, sometimes classical.

For the classical songs transitions, I need to auto add 3-5 seconds of silence between tracks, for the dubstep, I mix the songs continuous.

Having to create a 3 second "silence" track to put between each song in the classical sets, is a real pain in the backside, it would be really helpful to be able to specify a silence of a set length in the automix settings "None (back-to-back)" option....

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks for linking bigchap, that is one route & with further work and track colouring it could be further automated.
 
Awesome feedback guys :) scroll down to the bottom of the linked thread to get code for a custom button to add silence between tracks :)
 
 
Will do when I'm at a machine and not just my phone.

I can see scope for this for formal dancing (time for the floor get to starting positions, exercise groups as breather break or perhaps broadcasting, where it counts several load pluses and then loads an advertising break.
