So I just purchased my first DJ controller, the Stanton DJC4, the other day and got it setup last night to test it out. I really like the layout and build of this controller. I was able to install VDJ LE and audio drivers with no issue and everything seems to be working fine.
However, I did find something that is bothering me. When I first power up the unit and have my headphones on I hear a loud buzz/hum/static sound when the lights are turning on and powering up. The sound drops after the unit is done with the start up, but I can still hear the static sound in the background on my headphones. I don't think this is normal correct? Coming from a standalone mixer I would never hear any static when I had my headphone plugged in so this is something new to me. Is this a hardware issue with the controller or the software? Is there a way to fix this or something I have to live with? I don't know if the static sound is being outputted on the main outputs as well or not since I did not test for that yet. But for sure I hear it in my headphones. Is there any way to fix this or just try to work around it? I did get the unit for around $200 brand new so it wasn't a huge investment, but I still want something that is works without this issue.
Anyone else can give some feedback on this issue? Is Stanton aware of this issue and is there any fixing coming for it?
