Questions about the new VJPro music video pool service option offered through VDJ:
1. Does the $49.95 monthly fee allow us to download ANY video in the VJPro library AND as many as we want? In their current plans you have to buy credits that limit how many videos you can download each month (unless you buy more credits). They have thousands of videos so what would keep someone from only joining for a few months to get a ton of videos?
2. Do you need to upgrade to VDJ 7.4 to use this service, or in other words, is the download service happening within VDJ or outside in a normal browser?
3. Is the $49.95 fee paid directly to VJPro or to VDJ?

1. You can cache/download anything that is available. So long as you keep your subscription active everything will work. Cancel your subscription and it won't play anymore.
2. It will only work through VDJ 7.4

If you are a video DJ, you are spending a lot more than that, if you are getting your material from legitimate sources. This is not the service to build your collection, as it is stated, you don't own the videos. You are just renting them. If you do one gig a month, it should cover the cost. I also work in clubs, and if you want to make a request, you better have money in your hand. I tell them that request are free, how fast I play it, depends on the amount you give me. If you think you can give me a couple of dollars, you are mistaken. It will cost you to disturb me. This helps me pay for all the product I have to buy every month.

It cost me $35 a month to build my video library using xtendamix today. before that I was buying from Promo only and converting, too much work. So my library is pretty big right now. One way or another your only leasing the music video but what i paid for through PO I keep. If i can't make a payment I have 30 days to catch up using xtendamix. By law I am supposed to remove everything off my harddrive that I get from xtendamix if I default on a payment after 30 days "watch me!". Show me one DJ that would just remove everything. Why would I pay $49 a month to have it sit in my cache and then "poof" gone after I clean out my cache which is almost every day. There is only so many videos I can play at a video gig that people like. I wont switch. I find it to expensive for the service you get in my opinion.

The subscriptions are only one of several ways to acquire the necessary content for someone's needs.
Not everyone is going to need the subscriptions and most will find more financially appeallings outlets.

if you consider the downloads from these as your library....u need to step your game up! this is a aid to use when needed. WORKING djs see the benefit and gladly will pay to have the flexibility to play almost anything. for example... i dj mostly bars. every now and then someone will ask for a edm track i may not already have. not only can i d/l it on the fly and be the dj superhero, but show the video as well.....nice. invest in yourself

I wish I had the guts to actually say this to someone. Instead I just follow this policy silently, unless a non-tipper requests a song I would have played anyhow.
