I believe I answered on the youtube page, but just in case here it is: You certainly need an external sound card with that mixer. The Numark DJ/IO USB Audio Output Interface for DJ Software, runs anywhere from $65-$100 is a decent one as well as this one here, TRAKTOR AUDIO 2 - Ultra Compact DJ Audio Interface. I been thinking about adding this one for my standalone mixers. It's a $100, but every DJ I know who has it, say they love it. If you decide a little higher in price, go with DeeJay TRIM, but only for your PC and they all work for VDJ

I hope this helps, let me know :)

ok thanks im going to order one then, let u know soon once i got it:) thanks for help...

by the way, is the numark IO stereoport any good for my mixer? because theres another one called numark DJIO DJ audio interface which is more expensive and i cant afford to buy it just now:( but i really wanna start playin:)

The stereo version is good if you're just playing music, but not as good for DJ's. Also, although there is like $30-$50 difference in price the DJ/IO is a better quality sound card and you can hear the difference.

Just a note - the Audio 2 and DJ/iO are both external sound cards that have no inputs to be used with TimeCode. In order to use TC you would need a 4 in/4 out card which either of those is not.

American Audio DV2 mixer, it has an internal 4X4 Sound card native to VDJ
I got mine new for $190

hey coach k!

got my sound card (maya44usb) everything seems working fine, but only one thing i dont get it, im using only one deck and ext mixer, and when im playing through vdj, on one deck(left in my case) i can not add a tune on the right one so i could mix both together, any idea why? i ve checked the config but everything seems ok...no idea why i cant get two songs at once.

Thanks for the info. I was a torq user and just change to vdj this week and was trying to config my american audio mxr 14 to work correctly with timecode so I can beat juggle and scratch, before I start to recreating all my playlist and cue piont.

I think I'm falling in love with that mixer! I may have it very soon, but just got me a used VirtualVinyl and about to use that with a standalone mixer. The timecode vinyls are sick with my setup right now. Posting video soon as I get a chance.

Your setting should be on two timecodes, external mixer and soundcard should be on Maya44usb. Make sure you have signals on both decks and the circles are perfect to very close to perfect.

I notice that you don't have a license and I'm not sure, but that may play a role as well. Check with the Mods on that one.

No problem, you can certainly beat juggle & scratch with the right settings, check my video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mb9fWIcxyqQ go to 2:31 and you can see me doing a beat juggling demo with VDJ.

but iam only using one deck, and my sett are on one timecode ext mixer and soundcard on maya44usb, but when i play o n vdj can only hear one deck, and cant put a song on the other one, to mix them both... is this normal? and also cant hear backward scratch to ?pull up?

I think you may need to upgrade to pro for that.

Coach k, I think I have it working the way I need it to. I will find out this weekend as it work on my 2013 online DMC entry using VDJ with timecode vinyl.
