I noticed that the headphone output on a mac has much lower volume than it does on a pc.
Why is that, and can i do something to make it louder?

I know that with a Microsoft Windows PC, you can open your sound card properties and adjust the volume of the computer, that might be an option with the Mac, am not for certain, but it seems logical...also on your audio programs like Itunes, there is a volume adjustment control in the software as well as in Windows Media Player, so that the volume can be adjusted manually.
