sorry the title is a bit misleading its 3 questions really but the first is a 2 part about the vms4 :)
when i first boot up my vms4 and vdj i have to do some setting up.
can i set the loop to start with 16 beat loops instead of it reverting to 4 beats all the time
also i normally speed up the first track by about 4 bpm then beat match the next song to that speed. is there a way of
setting it to do this automatically?
the second question is about transferring my serial to a friend. when i buy my next controller in a few months ill most likely
pass on the vms4 to a friend. can i gift my friend the the le version of vdj and the upgrade to vdj full. as ill most likely
get a new le version with the controller i buy and will then be able to upgrade that to a new full vdj license??

if you modify the ONINIT mapping to 'loop_length 16' then that should solve your loop length problem.

The answer to your last question is No, you can not transfer your license. My advice to anyone who already has the PRO version and buys a controllerthat comes with LE, DONT NOT REGISTER IT if you plan on selling the controller or gifting it away. I know everybody wants to show off there icons but your co troller looses value because you cant sell the software. Maybe Atomix will change this in the futrue but as of right now you cant.

that was my guess but as i wantied to gift and not sell the vdj vms4 le and vdj pro i was hopeing it may be possible.
that way my friend could keep the vms4 up to date and as i say i would have bought a new pro license with my new controler

plus its a bit more than wanting the icon on ur profile you also get the latest version of the le software depending on what mixer you have

VirtualDJ LE is free limited software and is not normally eligible for free software updates except where the manufacturer has made special arrangements for this or a bug is found in the original LE version.
As above, once registered, serials cannot be transferred to another user, especially VirtualDJ LE where is has already been used to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Pro at a discount (The LE license forms part of your upgraded Pro license.)
If a user who purchases the controller second hand wishes to use it with VirtualDJ, then they will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - This will allow them to download software updates as well as give them access to all features of the software.
