I'm still loving my AIAIAI's
I'm still loving my Beats by Dre PRO's
I'm looking into in earbuds now but I don't have a clue about them. Well... I have a clue but I don't have extensive knowledge or hands on experience so whoever DOES know, please pull my coat to earbuds for Dj'ing.
What's good?
What to look for in a pair?
What to stay away from?
How do they REALLY work for Dj'ing i n a club or party?
What brands should I look into? Beats is NOT what i'm looking for in earbuds. I have not seen any beats earbuds that would qualify as being good for Dj'ing. I will be using them for DJ'ing... Not for my phone or an ipod.
What do you all have to say on this?

...Well "earbubs" for DJin nah Only at home to sort out your album picks or just listening to a playlist while your travel from your iPod.iPad..
There are many reason to use the standard Dj phones and for good reason, but you can even get them with half a cup if you need to feel cool.. some guys use a monitor in their booths, some don't use them at all (they are the guy that play the same folders for years)... the more diverse you are the more you'll need them.. Get a good pair that won't leave you broke... (;

I use Shure IEMs ($499). I keep them on all the time, and can switch from CUE to MAIN to OFF on my mixer. I'm always listening to the mix, and run wireless receiver so I can just get up to the crowd and have some fun. Great when your mains are time delayed from your internal CUE (due to distance of the speakers).
Best thing you can do other than constantly putting ear muffs on and off throughout a gig. Big cans are so Vinyl (in my opinion)!

How do you do that? Do you mean that your iem's are run wireless? If so, you gotta explain exactly how you do it!

Earbuds are horrible for DJ'ing
In Ear Monitors are good for DJing. IEA such as:
Shure IEM
http://www.earphonesolutions.com/se535-clear.html?productid=se535-clear&channelid=FROOG&gclid=CKqo9J6E7bQCFQmmPAodDBAA6g
Westone IEM
http://www.earphonesolutions.com/westone-um3x.html?productid=westone-um3x&channelid=FROOG&gclid=CLe3grOE7bQCFbKiPAodrRgAng
What's the difference? It has something to do with the drivers within the headphones. Earbuds has a very basic driver and do not reproduce sound accrurately. IEM's are made for musicians. They have better drive with better sound separations. That is why they cost more and why they are standards with bands and also most touring DJs.

Here are some reasonably priced Good Ear Monitor plugs you can use, Don't forget you don't need Production type expensive equipment..., you just need to monitor sound that has been already produced... So a basic system for DJ monitoring will do the trick if you need to go that route...
Monitor Plugs $ 139.00 to $ 299.00

Wireless Monitor System $ 199.00

These will do the job and have a more earthly pricing that won't hurt your pocket so much...
Good Luck,
Joey...
