I use the backspin effects all the time when i changing genre, tempo, etc.. and sometime forget to deactivate it, when I switch to the other song, most know the rest of the story. What script command must I use to automatically deactivate this effect. i tried "while_pressed" but that does not stop the song at the release of my key, the song will continue. I also try "holdin & down" and still didnt get the expected results. What I would like if possible is when i press my backspin key, the backspin will happen for a few seconds then stop the song & deactivate the effect. Thanks.

Config> Options> FX Reset on Load "enable"
This will clear all effects for the deck when a new track is loaded.

Had the same problem..easy quick fix...whichever key you most likely use after you've engaged your effects, just mapped that key to reset effects. If that key is already mapped put & . Hope that works

This would not work for me because the next track is already loaded. Thanks anyway.

you could do something like this...
play ? effect 'brake' active on : effect 'brake' active off & play
It will make it so when you press play from being paused or stopped it will automatically turn off the brake effect.. You should also have a look at chackl's great new brake as it sound's better than djcels original and actually stops the track in the right position. The original version is purely a sound effect but chackl's is a transport effect as well as a sound effect.
