Topic: Recommended Camera for Live-View

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

What are good cameras for live-view mode, and are there any good cameras that can work over wifi?

I have used my Android phone (Galaxy S3) with the VDJ camera plugin, and while it works, the picture quality is poor. Also, the lag is quite annoying.

I know there are some other threads on this issue, but they are all fairly dated.

you can use a USB web-cam too, but the problem i have is that in most venues there is very poor lighting and many cameras dont handle this very well.

Is go pro good?

I use my Canon t3i DSLR and just feed it directly to the screen, somewhat expensive solution but you get full control of the exposure and the kit 18-55mm lens zooms in close enough for small - medium gigs, the 55-250mm lens works better for larger gigs.

Timmy-

Can you explain more how you are using the T3i? Are you not using the VDJ camera plugin?

Will only the T3i and T4i work for live view. I have an original rebel, and a T2i. I can't seem to get either to work with VDJ.

I'm not running it into VDJ at all, instead I go direct from the t3i's hdmi to my 42" tv. The t2i has a video mode, I recommend using an ac adapter for it so you don't have to worry about battery. The t3i and t2i video modes are stunning IMO, I use magic lantern features as well to get a good exposure faster;^]
