Bit of a strange question but hoping someone can help me.
I'm looking to buy a Pioneer DDJ-Ergo and to use the packaged Virtual DJ LE that comes with it.
If I buy a second hand Ergo from ebay that the user has registered the software for their own use previously, will I be able to register it for my own personal use? Or will I be left wit ha unit that is unable to use VDJ LE?
Any help would be most appreciated :D

No, you can't register it if the previous owner has already done so. Once registered, VirtualDJ serial numbers are non-transferable. Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Serial%20Transfer.html
However, if the seller gives you the original VirtualDJ LE CD, you can install it from this and use it. You will not be entitled to any available updates nor will you be entitled to download any add-ons.
Ideally, you should purchase a new controller so that you can register VirtualDJ LE and also optionally upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

I just got a Numark Mixtrack with VDJ7 OEM. I really like it but I can't seem to be able to use my headphones with my USB interface. Is there something I'm missing here?
I also want to use this program as a VSTi in Ableton. Is this possible or do I need Pro?

Nice thread hijacking - well done.
To be able to play music and cue, you need a suitable sound card - one with at least two stereo outputs. One output for the mix and the other for cueing/headphones.
And no you can't use VDJ (any version) as a VST - but you can use ReWire to sync Live to VDJ.
