Topic: Deep House I need your help!

I need to get into this genre. How do I get up to speed with knowledge of the music? What sites can I visit to buy the music, listen to the music, and increase my knowledge base? Help me out VDJ family!

When really got into DJing a few years back. I knew that I liked "that sound," but I had ZERO ideas of the good artists, how to tell the difference in (EDM) genres....I was CLUELESS.......beatport is excellent, Youtube, search rolling stone EDM charts.....I found the top artists in the top 40 EDM songs and just started listening...Read the online mags and blogs about what is new, hott, trending and classic, etc....You'll get a feel for it......For example, I was looking on Youtube the other day and found out that Paris Hilton is a FABULOUS DJ!, Who knew?........World of music out there, just gotta start listening!!..........

Or look up Deep House on youtube and just go from video to video.

You could look at the bar grooves, defected, hed kandi, strictly rythem, labels too. You can get a lot of compilations off iTunes for cheap.
 
i tunes has cheap albums with shit loads on tracks on the albums , you just need to search for them... i bought a album with 80 tracks of funky house for like 20 bucks
 
When you find an artist you like, make a Pandora station based on that artist. This has led me to many more producers.
