Or what the differences
 
HID is better than MIDI, but i havent been able to get the LED's or the sliders to work with HID, so the MIDI map compliments the HID mapper and provides full functionality.

in order to download the mappers you will need a pro license of VDJ
 
I bought this mapping: [Link to 3rd party commercial site removed - Please see the forum rules] everything works well but there is no shift button what you do not build one like it with the controller editor
 
there is no shift button for MIDI mappings for the S2, and simply never will be.
the shift button doesn't send any signal other than HID meaning that if you wish to use them, you need to use a HID mapper.

every button on the controller is mapped in my mappers including 256 step high resolution jog wheels.
