Ok I got the N4 about a month a half ago, so today I decided to try out the timecode with my old Stanton tables. I got the Rane CV02 Second Editions as recommended on this site. After a couple hours of trying to get them to work I managed to finally get some control over the sound. Theres just a couple more tweaks I think I need to make and I don't know which. First of all I just can't get the time code noise to stop playing in the background and after messing with the gain and silence and phase setting knobs I still can't get the music to really sound clear. Second, when I try to scratch forward or back, the record only moves in forward direction.
I have read another post involving the N4 but still need some help if any can specify the exact boxes and configurations I need checked to make it work good.
Yes I tried moving them around in about every way possible so I could of screwed something up but which "mode" should I have it on? Smart, relative, or absolute? Also do I need any of the debugging boxes or anything like that? It looked so simple when watching some you tube help videos but mines just going crazy I guess... Maybe if anyone can just post a couple screen shots of theirs I can get it going, I really don't know.

I remember seeing a couple of good videos on youtube.com for setting up time code on VDJ, you might want to search youtube. Remember to support the software.

Ye I had the Pro Trial going for 20 days but it wouldn't work right. It just kept moving the track all over the place like someone mashing the play and fast forward and rewind buttons all at the same time on a cassette. I called Numark and talked to multiple people and no one could help me. Maybe I'll try again in a few months or years... And yea I have watched all the videos and spent over 20 hours trying to fix it so I guess no one can help. Thanks even though neither of you really suggested anything and it was too late by the time you tried.
