I know on the dns 3700 there is a button that lets you go from midi mode to cd mode, im not sure there is one on the 1200's. if there is not how easy is it to go from midi to cd. Im leaning towards the 3700's , still doing some research.

On the Denon DN-S1200 there is a SOURCE button that allows you to switch between CD, USB and MIDI.
However, if you intend to do this on the fly rather than just use the CD/USB as an emergency backup, then you will need to use another sound card (E.g: Numark DJIO) instead of the sound card built into the S1200. This is because the S1200 disables its sound card when switching to CD or USB mode, which will obviously cause a sound card configuration error in VirtualDJ. You will also need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use MIDI controllers: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
