I have virtualdj free edition on my laptop. I bought an old djconsole hurcules off a friend but has no software with it? when I plug it in, virtualdj recognises it for 10mins then stops working? I'm not a tech head and have no idea about these thing, can anyone give me some help please? I obviously would like to be able to set this up with no additional costs as this is just a hobby.

The free version of VDJ does support external controllers (except during demo mode).
The version that came packaged with the controller would have worked - but only with that controller.
If the previous owner of the controller has installed and registered the supplied software, then they can't legally pass it on to you.

In order to be precise we must say that the free version of VDJ works with external controllers only for the first 10 minutes upon each launch, acting as a demo.

If you just but pro it will work fine. The same thing happen to me and it all works now fine. And you can find the drivers online too.
