I have all my music on a external harddrive already scanned for BPMs in Virtual DJ and cue points set. If I hook up my external harddrive to someone else's laptop with Virtual DJ, will my songs still be scanned and cue points still set?

Not really because you need the database to be intalled in order to virtualdj read the information but if you know where is you database you may carried the one to so just find where is the database in the other compu, replace it and ready to go

That is incorrect. External hard drives have their own DB on the root of the drive to allow plug and play in VirtualDJ.
