when i'm using vdj & i open a dialogue box like "file info" or if i'm loading a slide show the window stays on screen, causing me to have too disable the video output to get rid of it !

Make sure you dont have any other programs interfering with vdj update windows and close unnecessary programs set your monitor resolution to a lower one.

SBDJ is right it is a problem with AERO on windows 7, turning it off sorts it out. I have a few guides on my home page to optimise your PC for DJing and turning off AERO.
