i used my ns 6 with my lappy for the first time tonight.... all is well except when I load a song the pitch goes to a different spot whether I have it enabled or disabled in options to reset. Mostly goes to the lowest minus point. Has anyone seen this weird problem? everything has been working solid for already six hours. It doesn't happen everytime i load a song but about 1/3 of the time

You also need to turn off the auto pitch matching option.
Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Soft%20Take-over%20or%20Non-MIDI%20Mixer.html
If you have already done that and you still have this problem, it could be a hardware fault (It's sending MIDI signal for the left pitch slider to move it to that position.)

UPDATE !!
auto pitch matching is off...
I have had the NS6 connected to a computer that I dj with in a club 4 nites a week since I purchased it when they arrived in Canada without any problem. Like my older post says, I decided to try it out on my lappy and everything worked excellent except for the pitch changing when I load some songs. That was a one time test in case my computer broke down at the club so I can just swap them on the fly.
New problem.!!
Last night while Djing at the club the EXACT same problem happened like it did with my lappy. Again the left pitch went to random positions almost everytime I loaded a song or karaoke or video in the left side deck. At this point I can assume that other NS6 users have experienced this problem?? In a month and a half it's now happened on two computers.
Any suggestions to rectify the problem? I tried everything I could at this point. Once I return the pitch to zero or wherever I need it, it stays there for the duration of the song. It only happens immedietely when I drop the song into the player. Last night the pitch changed even when it was in automix mode when the next song loaded.

It may have been caused by accidentally activated beat lock (Especially if it is still assigned to the old shortcut 'B' from an earlier version.)

Mabye trying to map your pitch_slider as pitch_relative could be a solution...but you have to keep your eye on the pitch slider...but since it happens only in one deck..I can see two causes....Beatlock activated accidentely...or...problematic slider..it has happened to me to other controlers...
