I would like to display a "Linked Text" file to the laptop screen (Not to the extended screen) when that file is played, something similar to the "ShoeCover" plugin, but to only display in a window on the laptop screen, this way i can move it if need be...
How can this be done?

Let me ask the question differently, Is it possible to link a text file to a song file and display it (The Text) when it's played on a deck, or a jpg copy of the text file?

Are you trying to just display a text to yourself? Or do you want to be able to display it on the external screen as well?
If your just trying to display it to yourself, you can add a comment to the song. The comment can show on the deck if you have a skin that displays comments.

What I'm asking for is to display the Text Or image of the Text to render in a window on the laptop screen Not to the extended screen monitor, the reason for this is to make it possible to drag that (Text, Image) window on your laptop screen to a third monitor...
I have a USB connected monitor, so I can drag that window there so only the singer will see the lyrics....the extended monitor can run Ad's or background video clips, or live video steam of the performance
I've seen an effects plugin availible in the download section that only renders the effect to the MS Video window and shows up on the laptop screen monitor instead of the default video card, this would definitely work for this purpose...
It should work similar to the Winamp program, where the lyrics scroll in a independent window and could be resized and dragged anywhere, it default to the laptop screen first, then will default to the last monitor screen you placed it after that..

I will be using this for foreighn language instrumental backing tracks that have "No Lyrics" on screen, so the "Lyrics Window" would trigger only when this (Linked Instrumental) track is played.....
Regular karaoke files would render as normally to the extended monitor..

You could do that with this Freeframe plugin: http://ffrend.sourceforge.net/plugins/MiscPlugs-ReadMe.html#TextGen
I used to use it in some other software and works OK. It's not automated and you can't link it to some mp3, but it'll do what is needed.
