Topic: Need 4-ch controller (midi) with integrated external mixer/soundcard

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Looking for another solution to reduce my equipment. Currently, I'm going out an Audiofire firewire sound card to an external mixer (both decks). I hate using the MIDI-eq knobs as the quality is terrible. So, I'm forced to using a separate mixer to eq songs.

I also use a Numark 2 channel controller, mainly for the jog wheels and faders.

Is there anything on the market that integrates a midi-controller and sound card w/analog EQ for each deck? Most controllers (like the XoneDX) have analog EQs, but they only work as "analog" for external inputs. I would need to have them work as analog but for internal audio inputs.

I think they also just work as analog when connecting an external device.

Denon MC-6000?

Allen and Heath Xone 4D ,o)

I would recommend the Denon MC6000 or the Numark NS6. I own both.

Both are very good controller and built well with enough functions to keep you busy. Both can be used as a stand alone mixer.

The MC6000 is very compact and can fit in a back pack. It also has a slightly better sound than the NS6. However, being so compact, the jog wheels are a bit small for my taste and the controls are bunch together.

The NS6 has a nice size jog wheel and the controls are nicely spaced and not cramped like the MC6000. However, I think the sound is just a notch below the MC6000 when plugged into a nice club system. At least to my ears.

Both can be used with all 3 major software.

MC6000 = Serato Intro, Traktor, VDJ
NS6 = Serato Itch, Traktor (have to dnld .tsi file) and VDJ

Intro doesn't support the 6000....VDJ & Traktor yes.

Been reading up on the MC6000 and I don't think it will do what I would like. Some folks seem to say that in 4-deck mode, you need to have it on PC-mix, which means your forced to use VDJ EQ knobs. I need it to use the external mixer EQ instead, but with the internal sound instead of an external input.

Also heard that latency isn't great and sound quality isn't as great, specifically compared to the Echo Audiofire I use for my gigs.

Sounds complicated but I am doing this currently and it's just too much equipment to lug around.

Alright. Here is what I've got:

VMS4.1 - $500
Can assign all 4 tracks to the analog EQ vs. using VDJ's internal EQ
24-bit 48 kHz analog audio
16-bit 44.1kHz USB audio
XLR Out
Booth Out
Only 4 endless encoder rotary knobs

MC6000 - $720
Can only assign 2 decks to the analog EQ
?? analog audio
16 bit, Fs:48 kHz USB B
XLR Out
Booth Out
NO endless encoder rotary knobs
Lots more knobs than VMS4.1

Vestax VCI-400 - $1000 Expensive.

NS6 - No mention if analog eq can work on internal sound source. Plus, too damn BIG

Xone4d: $2800 sorry.

I may have to find a way to improve on the VDJ internal EQ. It is just terrible imho. It is sad when I turn the BASS knob full clockwise and the song distorts like mad, while using my external mixer I can do the same and I get massive deep clean bass.
