Lot's of us have heard of him....cool article @cstoll. Congrats.
 
never heard of him, sounds like a jerk, whoever he is..
 
I can say this with conviction. Chris Stoll is knowledgeable about the inner workings of VDJ. He is also one of the most even handed people I have ever known.
 
only joking, chris is a great bloke I don't care what anybody says about him... but hey I'm an aussie, that's my sense of humor or lack there of :-P

it's a GOOD article. and very timely: have had a guy visiting the last couple weeks who bought a bundled controller with LE and he's been asking alot of questions about VDJ and if it's worth going pro. and after this past wednesday night i think he was convinced.

You know what I like the most about Chris and yes I've had my run ins with him, lmao, hes a straight forward dude. If your full of shit he'll let you know. If you need help he'll help you, if your outta line he'll let you know.

Hey guys ... really appreciate the comments ( good, bad, and the humorous :P )

And though the title of this post says the article is about VirtualDJ LE ... it is really about the process it takes to get from a question of 'We want...' by the manufactures, to 'We have ...'.

A lot of people just think it is some skinning work and a few mapping tweaks. When in reality it is not. And though the focus is at the VirtualDJ product - I can tell you that it is not unique to us alone.

Though our processes, methodologies, and even our perspective of focus made be similar or different in most cases - anyone that wants to get their software - Limited / Special / Bonus / Intro - what ever they want to call it - into a product's box goes through a lot of gyrations.

My intent, behind the questions that I was asked; was to best inform people that WE (Atomix/VirtualDJ) don't just slap some things together and push it out the door. We truly take the whole effort at heart - thinking from the user that is going to get the product to the manufacture's management staff that is going to approve the end product and ALL the different parties in between. << BTW, those 'in between' pieces can be the hardest to find the compromise and agreements.

So, glad those that have read and commented; glad you enjoyed it. Those that have not - I hope you do.
