Hmmmm, very interesting. That would explain why old people always request not-so-danceable songs.

That's the most interesting thing I've read for ages, clicked through to the score a hit website, very interesting ;)

This is a very good and interesting article. I enjoyed the reading.

In the USA all you need to have a hit song are a couple of things

1. talk about what your doing on your way to the club
2. talk about what your doing while at the club
3. talk about what your doing after you leave the club

once you do all that make sure you use a bpm range of about 120-130 any faster and its not considered a hit but some kind of other foreign music no one listens to. No one needs "science" to figure this out.

...and use the following words in the song;

- "VIP"
- "shawty"
- "hands up"
- "hands in the air"
- "bottle of (insert name of whatever alcoholic beverage is popular at the moment)"
- "swagger"

And do a remix featuring Lil' Jon and you've got a hit.

By the way, there's a new genre of music now... it's called "Pitbull" lol.

oh and don't forget the auto tune...

gucci

louis vitton

they stopped pickin on patrone finally

i think the auto tune is optional, in which case they are amazingly out of tune....

N bombs..... F bombs .......

dont forget the 808 haha

What has made our music crappy and people like Kesha and Pitbull to be selling so many records is a simple math.

Kids nowadays have more buying power than ever before. Therefore the musical taste of children is what is moving the records.

12 to 17 year olds are buying music now more than ever before, even with the so called "free" downloads, music is still being sold.
