由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hello guys! This is my setup: 2 technic 1200 mk2,1 numark m3 mixer, maya 44 sound card and a HP G71 Laptop, Intel Duo Core,4gig ram,220 hard drive...

PROBLEM 1: cant get arm to float with the weight on cartridge(m44-7) it just stays on slipmat til i dam near take the counter weight off control arm then it floats up...so i took da weights off floats fine!(level) but the arm keeps pulling to the rest position! I have da anti-skate on "0"....SMH!

Problem 2: cant get 100% on Timecode config..it bounces from 5%-100%-20%-50% i tried turning up the gain...i get the ring but not the quality!(100%)

Problem 3: Latency Sucks! Maybe its the Maya 44? but hell my controller is better! so what settings can I use to get some decent,if possible no latency?

it helped! thanx....now i need to stop my music from skiping from the begining to the middle!...and also...im hearing crackling sounds through my speakers! Im getting frustrated!!! what would yall do? I bought the turntables used from Guitar Center...got 30 days if i dont like them to send them back! and i have a 1 year warranty! but i really want them! or do yall think its VDJ...i still cant get 100% either on the Timecode Config. ....I just grounded the ground wire to the rca on the inside of both turntables it helped! and also the pitch controls on both dont work exactly when i move it..it stalls! Im wondering is it the serato time codes or the setting need tweeking!

For the tone arm issue....

Reverse the counterweight by putting it on backwards. Don't be too worried about floating the tonearm. A little weight won't hurt. In fact, it will help. You should not have as many skipping issues with the extra weight.

I am someone that knows what i'm talking about. I've been spinning for over 20 years. I'm sure there are others in here that will tell you the same thing about the counterweight.

TRACKING is important!!!! Height adjustment is important as well.

If you have the M44, depending on what type of DJ you are, you will want to have your needle angled for scratching or straight for normal playing (No Scratching)

Hope this helps...

@ djcity...I finally got the tone arm situated with the floating! but thanx....just need to get da program tweeking fixed....imma try to get my wife to record me so i can show yall what its doing!

make sure you go into the timecode config, you need to choose the type of serato vinyl and the side you are playing, this is important as the signals are diferent on both sides, I don't use the beta engine as my computer has issues, just the standard "serato vinyl CV02 - A" then you need to adjust the signal so you have as close to a circle as possible, also the maya probably has a low input and output level so crank up the gain until the circle is about 2/3 the maximum size, after that turn up the silence a little to stop any static from affecting the transport, I usually get fluctuation of 0.1 bpm when moving the pitch fader off 0 (quartz). to me it makes no difference as I listen more and watch the screen less using timecode vinyl.

finally know that you can adjust the signals independantly of each other to get them both perfect as the decks signal won't always be exactly the same.

my badd da last video has about 8 more minutes to uplaod!

For the Maya Control panel ...

You need to go to the Controls tab and set the following -

MONITOR 1&2 / 3&4 -- Check the MUTE box

INPUT - Make sure GANG is checked and set the level to just above HALF way

OUTPUT - you can leave that at the MAX ( I typically pull it back just 1 or 2 tick marks)

You other options you showed in the video are fine.

In your VirtualDJ Config -> Performance tab: Change the Latency option to AUTO and uncheck the Safe Mode. By setting it to a specific setting you are just fighting the soundcard's setting. So put it back to AUTO.

In the TimeCode setup -> With the BOTH tab selected, move the Balance knob to the left just a little bit so the line is just off balance to the left. This should straighten out the circles so they are not egg shaped from top left to bottom right. If you need to adjust the decks individually then select the appropriate tab and make finer adjustments to the balance.

You may also need to make some adjustments to the 'Gain' position as well since we pulled back the input level in the Maya Control panel.

just turn the first two knobs of the timecode config to adjust the shape of the signal so it is as close to a circle as possible, the gain looks fine, but you have the silence too high, turn it down to about 1/2 of it's current size. and use the tabs up the top or the knobs so you can adjust the decks individually, debug doesn't matter if you have the tables grounded, as the songs is moving forward although my connection is crap, so stopped watching at that point.

with the latency it seems low for that soundcard, if you get any grainyness in the sound turn it up if not you should be good once you have corrected the timecode signals.
