You know, its funny because EVERY DJ I know does something like this, myself included! I live in an apartment but when My wife and I buy a house...watch out! Lazer lights and uplighting and sound systems galore. Noise ordinances be damned!

You know you are a Dj when you shop for your wifes christmas present and its a piece of equipment (lights, speakers, cables, controlllers ect) ................ GUILTY !!!!!!!!!!!!

so entirely true! we were closed this past Thanksgiving holiday and i was completely lost at home - bumping into things, falling asleep everytime i sat down, had no idea what was on the telly at night, and just felt uncomfortable with only a few people around.

weird.
 
These are funny lol. My ex and I broke up so I can play more and have more time on it. Parents have been complaining for years even though I have been djing for less than a year but its way more often.

At first girls want to "date the DJ" but the novelty wears off quickly once they realize you're working every Friday and Saturday night. Or they'll tell you they're cool with you working every weekend at first but eventually they'll bitch about it.

My wife doesn't complain at all, and that's after 16 years. Maybe she's just glad to get rid of me....

Well, I've graduated to a pimped out Chrysler Town & Country, but at the time, I had to get around the best I could. At the time, 1977, I had crashed my Dodge 300 van.

Sometimes my friends just stare at me weird when we're walking down a row of clubs and I just randomly stop and start singing to the song thats playing in the club, even though all we can hear is a very muffled bassline.
